Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Beauty compendium of the latest technological breakthroughs
This is a new concept in a beauty magazine and it is a rather interesting one. "New Beauty" is published seasonally and focuses not only on the presentation of the best new products but also, and mainly, offers a vast array of resources for all types of plastic surgery and cosmetic
enhancement of both body and dentistry. The options are broad, and range from the simplest dermatological procedures to the most advanced plastic and re-constructive surgery techniques. The magazine counts in its panel of consultants with personalities like Dr. Nicholas Perricone, Dermatologist Fredric Brandt, and hairdresser par excellence Frederic Fekkai.

In its second half, "New Beauty" includes a full directory of providers who, true to the magazine's headquarters, are located mostly in the state of Florida. Each specialist is offered a spreadfold in the magazine, which not only explains the techniques he or she performs, but also informs the reader of their personal background and past times when they are not in the office.

Twice a year, "New Beauty" is sold along with a test package of products for the convenient price of $19.99. A gift card in the amount of $20 is part of the package, to be redeemed at the magazine's shopping website offering thousands of wonderful products - an unbeatable deal. The latest issue came with a sampling of the new Lancaster sun line in the US. One of the articles happened to be on one of my favorite topics when it comes to personal beauty and grooming, how to choose and apply a fragrance.

"New Beauty" is available in bookstores nationwide as well as in Nordstrom stores when in its sample edition.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THE best magazine ever, period.
This is by far the most interesting, informative, researched publication I have ever seen. I am a licensed aesthetician and look forward to every issue to let me know about the new products, ingredients, and procedures out in the industry today. I would recommend this magazine to anyone interested in skincare or plastic surgery as each issue is packed full of information. The wait between issues is long, but with so much research in each issue, well worth the wait!

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - New Magazine About Plastic Surgery
This magazine is published twice per year. It has quality content regarding plastic surgery. Each article is reviewed and approved for accuracy by two doctors prior to publication. The purpose of this magazine to give the reader reliable & truthful information about various plastic surgery choices.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - So much more than I expected!
I picked up NewBeauty the other day to learn more about Botox since I am considering getting it. I had no idea that Botox can be used for more than one thing, which the magazine explained. It was very interesting.

NewBeauty also does a great job of giving over the counter options (that you can buy at Sephora and other stores)as an alternative to surgery and other treatments. I'm definitely going to try the cream recommended for spider veins.

Thank you NewBeauty for educating me on all the great products and procedures out there. I'm definitely getting a subscription!

Sales of semiconductors in November indicate that consumer products such as LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs, digital music players, and other devices sold well during the holidays, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said Monday.

November chip sales rose 2.3 percent year-on-year to $23.1 billion, the SIA said.

Unit demand has far outpaced last year. But falling chip prices have hurt industry revenue, the chip association said. For example, DRAM (dynamic RAM) bit shipments grew 25 percent in the three months through mid-December, but average selling prices have declined 20 percent over the same period.

The association also noted that rising energy prices and concerns about the sub-prime lending issue in the U.S. do not appear to have had a significant impact on consumer spending for the holidays, the SIA said. The group reiterated its forecast that worldwide semiconductor sales will reach a new record in 2007. But it will take a stronger than expected December selling season to reach the 3.8 percent growth goal the group had forecast earlier this year, the SIA said.

Investment banking firm Credit Suisse was not as optimistic as the SIA.

The November data was below normal seasonal trends, noted analyst John Pitzer, in a report on Monday. Even if December reaches its normal seasonal growth, 2007 industry revenue will only reach $255.7 billion, up 3.2 percent over last year. The growth percentage would fall short of the SIA's 3.8 percent target.

The slow November prompted Credit Suisse to lower its 2008 chip industry revenue forecast to 9.4 percent year-on-year growth, down from a previous target of 13 percent.
